### sec.199 Transitional provision for offences against s 85 This section applies if, after the commencement of this section— a person is convicted of an offence against section 85(1); and the act for which the person is convicted (the relevant act ) happened before the commencement. Section 85(6) applies to the conviction of the person as if the relevant act had happened after the commencement. s 199 ins 2005 No. 49 s 71 (sec.199-ssec.1) This section applies if, after the commencement of this section— a person is convicted of an offence against section 85(1); and the act for which the person is convicted (the relevant act ) happened before the commencement. (sec.199-ssec.2) Section 85(6) applies to the conviction of the person as if the relevant act had happened after the commencement. - (a) a person is convicted of an offence against section 85(1); and - (b) the act for which the person is convicted (the relevant act ) happened before the commencement.
