### sec.17D Notice of change in police information about a person
This section applies if—
the commissioner reasonably suspects that a person is—
the holder of an approval; or
a relevant person for the holder of an approval within the meaning of section 17C (3) ; and
the person’s criminal history changes.
The commissioner may notify the chief executive that the person’s criminal history has changed.
The commissioner’s notice to the chief executive must state the following—
the person’s name and any other name the commissioner believes the person may use or may have used;
the person’s gender and date and place of birth;
whether the change is—
a charge made against the person for an offence; or
a conviction of the person;
details of the charge or conviction.

(sec.17D-ssec.1) This section applies if— the commissioner reasonably suspects that a person is— the holder of an approval; or a relevant person for the holder of an approval within the meaning of section 17C (3) ; and the person’s criminal history changes.
(sec.17D-ssec.2) The commissioner may notify the chief executive that the person’s criminal history has changed.
(sec.17D-ssec.3) The commissioner’s notice to the chief executive must state the following— the person’s name and any other name the commissioner believes the person may use or may have used; the person’s gender and date and place of birth; whether the change is— a charge made against the person for an offence; or a conviction of the person; details of the charge or conviction.
- (a) the commissioner reasonably suspects that a person is— (i) the holder of an approval; or (ii) a relevant person for the holder of an approval within the meaning of section 17C (3) ; and
- (i) the holder of an approval; or
- (ii) a relevant person for the holder of an approval within the meaning of section 17C (3) ; and
- (b) the person’s criminal history changes.
- (i) the holder of an approval; or
- (ii) a relevant person for the holder of an approval within the meaning of section 17C (3) ; and
- (a) the person’s name and any other name the commissioner believes the person may use or may have used;
- (b) the person’s gender and date and place of birth;
- (c) whether the change is— (i) a charge made against the person for an offence; or (ii) a conviction of the person;
- (i) a charge made against the person for an offence; or
- (ii) a conviction of the person;
- (d) details of the charge or conviction.
