### sec.165 Special provision for serving documents
A document about a vehicle may be given to the vehicle’s owner or registered operator under a transport Act by securely fixing the document to a part of the vehicle in a way that a driver of the vehicle is likely to notice the document.
This section does not affect—
the operation of another law that permits service of a document other than as provided in this section; or
the power of a court or tribunal to authorise service of a document other than as provided in this section.

(sec.165-ssec.1) A document about a vehicle may be given to the vehicle’s owner or registered operator under a transport Act by securely fixing the document to a part of the vehicle in a way that a driver of the vehicle is likely to notice the document.
