### sec.35H Restricted written release of information
The chief executive may release, in writing, information kept under this Act about a person’s driver authorisation to—
on receiving an application in the approved form—
the person; or
with the person’s written consent—another person; or
the commissioner of the police service for the purpose of any function of the commissioner or any function of the police service.
Also, the chief executive may release, in writing, to an entity information kept under this Act about a person’s driver authorisation if—
the person produces the person’s authorising document to the entity as proof of the person’s identity; and
the entity applies in the approved form for the information; and
the information is necessary to verify the validity of the driver authorisation.
An application mentioned in subsection (1) (a) or (2) (b) may be made electronically.

(sec.35H-ssec.1) The chief executive may release, in writing, information kept under this Act about a person’s driver authorisation to— on receiving an application in the approved form— the person; or with the person’s written consent—another person; or the commissioner of the police service for the purpose of any function of the commissioner or any function of the police service.
(sec.35H-ssec.2) Also, the chief executive may release, in writing, to an entity information kept under this Act about a person’s driver authorisation if— the person produces the person’s authorising document to the entity as proof of the person’s identity; and the entity applies in the approved form for the information; and the information is necessary to verify the validity of the driver authorisation.
(sec.35H-ssec.3) An application mentioned in subsection (1) (a) or (2) (b) may be made electronically.
- (a) on receiving an application in the approved form— (i) the person; or (ii) with the person’s written consent—another person; or
- (i) the person; or
- (ii) with the person’s written consent—another person; or
- (b) the commissioner of the police service for the purpose of any function of the commissioner or any function of the police service.
- (i) the person; or
- (ii) with the person’s written consent—another person; or
- (a) the person produces the person’s authorising document to the entity as proof of the person’s identity; and
- (b) the entity applies in the approved form for the information; and
- (c) the information is necessary to verify the validity of the driver authorisation.
