### sec.154 Attempt to commit offence A person must not attempt to commit an offence against this Act. Maximum penalty—half the maximum penalty for committing the offence. Section 4 (Attempts to commit offences) of the Criminal Code applies to subsection (1) . However, this section does not apply to an offence against section 143AD or a fare evasion provision prescribed by regulation. s 154 amd 2004 No. 9 s 53 ; 2019 No. 24 s 132 (sec.154-ssec.1) A person must not attempt to commit an offence against this Act.
