### sec.99 Directions under s 98 may require taking of action
A direction under section 98 issued in relation to a ship may require the doing, or prohibit the doing, of anything in relation to the ship, including, for example—
the movement of the ship or part of the ship; and
the removal of cargo from the ship; and
the taking of salvage measures in relation to the ship, part of the ship or any of the ship’s cargo; and
the sinking or destruction of the ship or part of the ship; and
the sinking, destruction or discharging into the sea of any of the ship’s cargo; and
the handing over of control of the ship or part of the ship.
The general manager must not issue a direction under subsection (1) (d) without the Minister’s written approval.
Without limiting subsection (1) , a direction may—
require that anything be done in accordance with the direction, with the approval, or in accordance with the instructions, of a stated person; or
prohibit the doing of anything other than in accordance with the direction, with the approval, or in accordance with the instructions, of a stated person.

(sec.99-ssec.2) The general manager must not issue a direction under subsection (1) (d) without the Minister’s written approval.
(sec.99-ssec.3) Without limiting subsection (1) , a direction may— require that anything be done in accordance with the direction, with the approval, or in accordance with the instructions, of a stated person; or prohibit the doing of anything other than in accordance with the direction, with the approval, or in accordance with the instructions, of a stated person.
- (a) the movement of the ship or part of the ship; and
- (b) the removal of cargo from the ship; and
- (c) the taking of salvage measures in relation to the ship, part of the ship or any of the ship’s cargo; and
- (d) the sinking or destruction of the ship or part of the ship; and
- (e) the sinking, destruction or discharging into the sea of any of the ship’s cargo; and
- (f) the handing over of control of the ship or part of the ship.
