### sec.90 Consent to entry
This section applies if an authorised officer intends to seek the consent of an occupier of a place to an authorised officer entering the place under this part.
Before seeking the consent, the authorised officer must inform the occupier—
of the purpose of the entry; and
that anything found and seized may be used in evidence in court; and
that the occupier is not required to consent.
If the consent is given, the authorised officer may ask the occupier to sign an acknowledgement of the consent.
The acknowledgement must—
state the occupier was informed—
of the purpose of the entry; and
that anything found and seized may be used in evidence in court; and
that the occupier was not required to consent; and
state the occupier gave the authorised officer consent under this part to enter the place and exercise the powers mentioned in section 81 ; and
state the time and date the consent was given.
If the occupier signs an acknowledgement of consent, the authorised officer must immediately give a copy to the occupier.
