### sec.475X Direction to stop contravening regulation
If an authorised person considers a person is not complying with a provision of a waterway management regulation the authorised person may give the person a direction to immediately stop contravening the regulation in a stated way.
When giving the direction, the authorised person must tell the person that it is an offence to fail to comply with the direction, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
The person must comply with the direction.
Maximum penalty for subsection (3) —40 penalty units.
