### sec.281C Payment of a charge and interest on an unpaid charge
A charge imposed by a port authority or relevant entity is payable within a reasonable time decided by the port authority or relevant entity.
If the charge is not paid on or before the day the charge is due, interest is payable on the unpaid amount of the charge at a reasonable rate decided by the port authority or relevant entity.
The port authority or relevant entity may recover a charge, or part of a charge, and any interest payable in relation to the charge, as a debt payable to the port authority or relevant entity.
A regulation may provide for exemptions from the payment of charges, including any interest on a charge.
Subsection (4) does not affect or limit the power of a port authority or relevant entity to exempt or partially exempt a person from a charge, including any interest on the charge, imposed by a port authority or relevant entity.
