### sec.112 Granting authority
The chief executive may grant or refuse to grant an authority.
The chief executive must grant the authority if the chief executive is satisfied the person is genuinely considering constructing a railway and is acting reasonably and in good faith.
If the chief executive refuses to grant an authority, the chief executive must give the applicant written reasons for the refusal.
In deciding the area for an authority, the chief executive must be satisfied the area is no more extensive than is reasonably necessary.

(sec.112-ssec.1) The chief executive may grant or refuse to grant an authority.
