### sec.57 How land is held by the State
This section applies if—
the land vests in the State under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cwlth) ; or
the land vests in the State under section 56 .
The land—
vests in the State in fee simple; and
the State holds the land for the benefit of the persons for whose benefit the land was held immediately before it vested in the State.

(sec.57-ssec.1) This section applies if— the land vests in the State under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cwlth) ; or the land vests in the State under section 56 .
(sec.57-ssec.2) The land— vests in the State in fee simple; and the State holds the land for the benefit of the persons for whose benefit the land was held immediately before it vested in the State.
- (a) the land vests in the State under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cwlth) ; or
- (b) the land vests in the State under section 56 .
- (a) vests in the State in fee simple; and
- (b) the State holds the land for the benefit of the persons for whose benefit the land was held immediately before it vested in the State.
