### sec.132 Protection from liability
An official does not incur civil liability for an act done, or omission made, honestly and without negligence under this Act.
If subsection (1) prevents civil liability attaching to an official, the liability attaches instead to the State.
In this section—
official means—
the chief executive; or
an officer or employee of the department; or
a surveyor carrying out a State survey; or
a person helping a surveyor mentioned in paragraph (c) at the surveyor’s direction.
