#### 16 Time within which application must be made 16 Time within which application must be made > > (1) An application for a parentage order in relation to a child may be made not less than 30 days and not more than 6 months after the child’s birth, subject to this section. > > > (2) For a pre-commencement surrogacy arrangement, an application for a parentage order may be made not more than 2 years after the commencement of this section. > > > (3) The Court may hear and determine an application for a parentage order that is made after the time limit for making an application under this section if the Court is satisfied that exceptional circumstances justify that action.
