### sec.17 Admission
To be admitted to the legal profession, the person seeking admission must—
attend in person before the relevant court; and
take the oath or affirmation of allegiance; and
take the oath or affirmation of office set out in rule 18 .
Subrule (1) (a) and (b) is subject to any direction of the court in a particular case.
The registrar must issue a certificate of admission to each person who signs the roll.
Subrule (3) does not apply in relation to a person who is conditionally admitted to the legal profession until the person’s admission is made unconditional.
