### sec.246 Issue of identity card
An appointing authority must issue an identity card to each authorised person appointed by it.
The identity card must—
contain a recent photo of the authorised person; and
contain a copy of the authorised person’s signature; and
identify the person as an authorised person under this Act; and
state whether the authorised person is appointed by the chief executive or chief executive officer of a local government; and
state an expiry date for the card.
This section does not prevent the issue of a single identity card to a person for this Act and other purposes.

(sec.246-ssec.1) An appointing authority must issue an identity card to each authorised person appointed by it.
(sec.246-ssec.2) The identity card must— contain a recent photo of the authorised person; and contain a copy of the authorised person’s signature; and identify the person as an authorised person under this Act; and state whether the authorised person is appointed by the chief executive or chief executive officer of a local government; and state an expiry date for the card.
