### sec.14 Acting SES chief officer
The commissioner may appoint a person to act as the SES chief officer—
during a vacancy in the office; or
during any period, or during all periods, when the SES chief officer is absent from duty or is, for another reason, unable to perform the duties of the office.
A person can not be appointed to act as the SES chief officer unless the commissioner could have appointed the person as the SES chief officer under section 12 (2) .
(sec.14-ssec.1) The commissioner may appoint a person to act as the SES chief officer— during a vacancy in the office; or during any period, or during all periods, when the SES chief officer is absent from duty or is, for another reason, unable to perform the duties of the office.
(sec.14-ssec.2) A person can not be appointed to act as the SES chief officer unless the commissioner could have appointed the person as the SES chief officer under section 12 (2) .
- (a) during a vacancy in the office; or
- (b) during any period, or during all periods, when the SES chief officer is absent from duty or is, for another reason, unable to perform the duties of the office.
