### sec.27A Lapsing of declaration if EIS required
This section applies to a coordinated project if an EIS is required for the project.
The declaration for the project lapses if, within 18 months of the terms of reference being finalised, the Coordinator-General has not, under section 34A (1) (b) , accepted a draft EIS for the project as the final EIS.
Despite subsection (2) , if before the declaration lapses, the Coordinator-General gives written notice to the proponent stating a later time for the declaration to lapse, the declaration does not lapse until the later time.
