### sec.73 Acquisitions interrupted by transfer scheme or notice
This section applies if—
a participating local government of a distributor-retailer has—
served a notice of intention to resume to take land as a constructing authority under the Acquisition of Land Act ; or
entered into an agreement to take land; and
the purpose of the proposed resumption relates to the distributor-retailer’s geographic area functions.
The distributor-retailer may by notice given to each affected person decide to continue the taking.
The notice must state—
that the distributor-retailer has become the constructing authority for the taking; and
its address for service of documents.
On the giving of the notice, for the Acquisition of Land Act —
the distributor-retailer becomes the constructing authority for the taking; and
the local government’s rights and obligations concerning the taking end.
However, the purpose of the taking does not change.
In this section—
affected person , for the taking, means—
each person—
on whom the local government served a notice of intention to resume the land; or
with whom the local government has entered into an agreement to take the land; and
anyone else the distributor-retailer considers is financially affected by the taking.

(sec.73-ssec.1) This section applies if— a participating local government of a distributor-retailer has— served a notice of intention to resume to take land as a constructing authority under the Acquisition of Land Act ; or entered into an agreement to take land; and the purpose of the proposed resumption relates to the distributor-retailer’s geographic area functions.
(sec.73-ssec.2) The distributor-retailer may by notice given to each affected person decide to continue the taking.

- (a) a participating local government of a distributor-retailer has— (i) served a notice of intention to resume to take land as a constructing authority under the Acquisition of Land Act ; or (ii) entered into an agreement to take land; and
- (i) served a notice of intention to resume to take land as a constructing authority under the Acquisition of Land Act ; or
- (ii) entered into an agreement to take land; and
- (b) the purpose of the proposed resumption relates to the distributor-retailer’s geographic area functions.
- (i) served a notice of intention to resume to take land as a constructing authority under the Acquisition of Land Act ; or
- (ii) entered into an agreement to take land; and
- (a) that the distributor-retailer has become the constructing authority for the taking; and
- (b) its address for service of documents.
- (a) the distributor-retailer becomes the constructing authority for the taking; and
- (b) the local government’s rights and obligations concerning the taking end.
- (a) each person— (i) on whom the local government served a notice of intention to resume the land; or (ii) with whom the local government has entered into an agreement to take the land; and
- (i) on whom the local government served a notice of intention to resume the land; or
- (ii) with whom the local government has entered into an agreement to take the land; and
- (b) anyone else the distributor-retailer considers is financially affected by the taking.
