### sec.53AF Existing trade waste approvals
On and from July 2010 all trade waste approvals given by a distributor-retailer’s participating local governments are taken to have been given by the distributor-retailer.
If before 1 July 2010—
a local government was required under the Water Supply Act , section 185 (2) to give an approval holder a notice amending the holder’s trade waste approval; and
the local government has not given that notice;
the distributor must give the notice as soon as practicable after it becomes aware of the requirement.

(sec.53AF-ssec.1) On and from July 2010 all trade waste approvals given by a distributor-retailer’s participating local governments are taken to have been given by the distributor-retailer.
(sec.53AF-ssec.2) If before 1 July 2010— a local government was required under the Water Supply Act , section 185 (2) to give an approval holder a notice amending the holder’s trade waste approval; and the local government has not given that notice; the distributor must give the notice as soon as practicable after it becomes aware of the requirement.
