### sec.78-oc.2 Further powers of referee
A referee is empowered to make an order that—
requires a party to the dispute before him or her to pay money not exceeding the sum of $1,100 to a person specified in the order;
requires a party to the dispute before him or her to do, or refrain from doing, some specified act to which the application relates;
strikes out for want of jurisdiction the dispute before him or her.
An order made by a referee may direct that the order shall be complied with within the time limited in the order.
An order made by a referee that requires the payment of money may be made to take effect instanter or so as to take effect upon default being made in complying with some other order by the referee.
