### sec.71 Deciding request to change or cancel development approvals
The council must decide the request within 20 business days after receiving the request.
The council and the person may agree to extend the period within which the council must decide the request.
To the extent relevant, the council must assess and decide the request having regard to—
the matters the council would have regard to if the request were a development application; and
the interests of other persons whose interests in the land may be affected by the application.
The council must give the person written notice of the decision.
The changed development approval or cancellation takes effect from the day the notice is given to the person.
