### sec.104-oc.2 Tribunal may administer oath
A tribunal may administer an oath or affirmation to a person appearing as a witness before it, whether or not he or she has appeared in answer to a summons, and may examine the witness upon oath or affirmation.
A person appearing as a witness before a tribunal—
shall not refuse to be sworn or to make an affirmation; and
shall not refuse to answer any question relevant to any proceedings before the tribunal put to him or her by the tribunal or by any person entitled to appear before the tribunal in those proceedings; and
shall not knowingly give false testimony in any evidence given by him or her to the tribunal.
Maximum penalty—$500 or imprisonment for 6 months.
A witness before a tribunal has—
the same protection; and
in addition to the penalties provided by this Act, the same liabilities;
as he or she would have had if he or she had been a witness before the Court instead of the tribunal.
