### sec.25B Exemption for particular security officer from holding licence— Act , s 54 (2) (a) This section applies to a security officer who— carries out monitoring activities— for a person’s property in Queensland; and from a place located in another State; and holds a relevant corresponding authority; and does not carry out any other functions of a security officer in Queensland. Despite section 9 of the Act , the security officer need not hold the appropriate licence for carrying out monitoring activities. In this section— monitoring activities means the activities mentioned in section 7 (1) (b) of the Act . relevant corresponding authority means an authority, however described, issued under the law of another State that allows the holder of the authority to carry out monitoring activities in the other State. s 25B ins 2014 SL No. 314 s 3 (sec.25B-ssec.1) This section applies to a security officer who— carries out monitoring activities— for a person’s property in Queensland; and from a place located in another State; and holds a relevant corresponding authority; and does not carry out any other functions of a security officer in Queensland. (sec.25B-ssec.2) Despite section 9 of the Act , the security officer need not hold the appropriate licence for carrying out monitoring activities. (sec.25B-ssec.3) In this section— monitoring activities means the activities mentioned in section 7 (1) (b) of the Act . relevant corresponding authority means an authority, however described, issued under the law of another State that allows the holder of the authority to carry out monitoring activities in the other State. - (a) carries out monitoring activities— (i) for a person’s property in Queensland; and (ii) from a place located in another State; and - (i) for a person’s property in Queensland; and - (ii) from a place located in another State; and - (b) holds a relevant corresponding authority; and - (c) does not carry out any other functions of a security officer in Queensland. - (i) for a person’s property in Queensland; and - (ii) from a place located in another State; and
