### sec.25A Exemption for particular interstate security firm from holding licence— Act , s 54 (2) (a)
This section applies to a security firm that—
engages in the business of supplying monitoring services—
to a person’s property in Queensland; and
from a place located in another State; and
holds a relevant corresponding authority; and
does not supply any other security firm services in Queensland.
Despite section 9 of the Act , the firm need not hold the appropriate licence for supplying monitoring services.
In this section—
monitoring services means the security firm services of a security officer carrying out the activities mentioned in section 7 (1) (b) of the Act .
relevant corresponding authority means an authority, however described, issued under the law of another State that allows the holder of the authority to supply or carry out monitoring services in the other State.

(sec.25A-ssec.1) This section applies to a security firm that— engages in the business of supplying monitoring services— to a person’s property in Queensland; and from a place located in another State; and holds a relevant corresponding authority; and does not supply any other security firm services in Queensland.
(sec.25A-ssec.2) Despite section 9 of the Act , the firm need not hold the appropriate licence for supplying monitoring services.
(sec.25A-ssec.3) In this section— monitoring services means the security firm services of a security officer carrying out the activities mentioned in section 7 (1) (b) of the Act . relevant corresponding authority means an authority, however described, issued under the law of another State that allows the holder of the authority to supply or carry out monitoring services in the other State.
- (a) engages in the business of supplying monitoring services— (i) to a person’s property in Queensland; and (ii) from a place located in another State; and
- (i) to a person’s property in Queensland; and
- (ii) from a place located in another State; and
- (b) holds a relevant corresponding authority; and
- (c) does not supply any other security firm services in Queensland.
