### sec.17 Duration of appointment
A director appointed under section 16 (1) (c) is appointed for the term, of not more than 3 years, stated in the director’s instrument of appointment.
The terms of appointment must be staggered so that, as far as practicable, half the directors’ terms end every 18 months.
The office of a director appointed under section 16 (1) (c) becomes vacant if—
the director resigns by signed notice to the Minister; or
the director is found guilty of an indictable offence or an offence against this Act; or
the director becomes employed by, or becomes a contractor of, the authority; or
the director’s appointment is ended by the Governor in Council under subsection (3) .
The Governor in Council may, at any time, end the appointment of a director for any reason or none.
