### sch.2-sec.8-oc.2 When, how and where rent must be paid— ss 83 – 85 Subject to clause 17, the tenant must pay the rent stated in item 8. The rent must be paid on the days stated in item 9. The rent must be paid— in a way stated in item 10; or Under section 83 , at least 2 ways for the tenant to pay the rent must be stated in this agreement. in a way agreed after the signing of this agreement by— the lessor or tenant giving the other party a notice proposing a way; and the other party agreeing to the proposal in writing; or if the lessor or lessor’s agent intends to change the way rent is paid to a way that is not stated in item 10 and no way is agreed to after the signing of this agreement—in a way the lessor or lessor’s agent proposes by notice to the tenant under section 84A . The lessor or lessor’s agent must give the tenant a notice advising of the costs associated with the ways to pay rent offered to the tenant that the tenant would not reasonably be aware of if the lessor or lessor’s agent knows or could reasonably be expected to find out about the costs. Also, the lessor or lessor’s agent must declare any financial benefit the lessor or lessor’s agent may receive if the tenant uses a particular way to pay rent. If a place is stated in item 11, the rent must be paid at the place. If, after the signing of this agreement, the lessor gives a notice to the tenant stating a place, or a different place, for payment of rent and the place is reasonable, the rent must be paid at the place while the notice is in force. If no place is stated in item 11 and there is no notice stating a place, the rent must be paid at an appropriate place. the lessor’s address for service the office of the lessor’s agent (sch.2-sec.8-oc.2-ssec.1) Subject to clause 17, the tenant must pay the rent stated in item 8.
