### sec.371E Notice to leave if entitlement to student accommodation ends
This section applies if—
rental premises are used for student accommodation; and
a resident’s entitlement to occupy the student accommodation depends on the resident being a student.
The provider may give the resident a notice requiring the resident to leave the rental premises if the resident stops being a student.
The notice must—
be in the approved form; and
state why the resident is being required to leave the rental premises; and
state the day by which the resident is required to leave the rental premises; and
be signed by the provider.
The day by which the resident is required to leave the rental premises must not be earlier than the day that is 1 month after the notice is given to the resident.
In this section—
student means a person enrolled in a course that, under the Social Security Act 1991 (Cwlth) , section 569B , is an approved course of education or study for section 569A (b) of that Act.
student accommodation means premises primarily used to provide accommodation to students.

(sec.371E-ssec.4) The day by which the resident is required to leave the rental premises must not be earlier than the day that is 1 month after the notice is given to the resident.

- (a) rental premises are used for student accommodation; and
- (b) a resident’s entitlement to occupy the student accommodation depends on the resident being a student.
- (a) be in the approved form; and
- (b) state why the resident is being required to leave the rental premises; and
- (c) state the day by which the resident is required to leave the rental premises; and
- (d) be signed by the provider.
