46I Competent person declaration
(1) A person (a competent person) may make a declaration stating that a
tenant, or a dependent child of the tenant, has experienced family
violence (a competent person declaration).
(2) However, the competent person must not make a competent person
declaration in relation to the tenant or child unless the tenant or child
has previously consulted the competent person as part of the
competent person’s professional practice.

(5) For subsection (1), a competent person may collect, hold, use or
disclose personal information about a person who is or was—
(a) a co-tenant of the tenant; or
(b) a family member of the tenant or child.
