### sec.71 Dealings with registration or accreditation in first 30 days of the transitional registration period
This section applies during the first 30 days of the transitional registration period of a residential service.
The personal representative or the substitute may, by giving a notice to the chief executive, surrender the registration or accreditation of the residential service without complying with section 67 .
If the chief executive is satisfied it is necessary to do so to ensure the health and safety of the residents, the chief executive may amend the accreditation of the residential service, by giving a notice to the personal representative or the substitute, without first giving a show cause notice under section 54 .
The notice must state the reasons for the amendment.
The amendment has effect for the period, not more than 90 days, stated in the notice.

(sec.71-ssec.1) This section applies during the first 30 days of the transitional registration period of a residential service.
