### sec.52 Lapsing of application
This section applies if an application for accreditation, or renewal of accreditation, is made under this part.
The chief executive may make a requirement under section 47 (3) or 50 (4) , for information to decide the application, by giving the service provider a notice stating—
the required information; and
the time by which the information must be given to the chief executive; and
that, if the information is not given to the chief executive by the stated time, the application will lapse.
The time stated must be reasonable and, in any case, at least 14 days after the requirement is made.
The chief executive may give the service provider a further notice extending the stated time if the chief executive is satisfied it would be reasonable in all the circumstances to give the extension.
If the service provider does not comply with the requirement within the stated time, or any extension, the application lapses.
(sec.52-ssec.1) This section applies if an application for accreditation, or renewal of accreditation, is made under this part.
