### sec.168 Summary proceedings for offences
A proceeding for an offence against this Act must be taken in a summary way under the Justices Act 1886 .
The proceeding must start—
within 1 year after the offence is committed; or
within 6 months after the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge, but within 2 years after the offence is committed.
(sec.168-ssec.1) A proceeding for an offence against this Act must be taken in a summary way under the Justices Act 1886 .
(sec.168-ssec.2) The proceeding must start— within 1 year after the offence is committed; or within 6 months after the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge, but within 2 years after the offence is committed.
- (a) within 1 year after the offence is committed; or
- (b) within 6 months after the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge, but within 2 years after the offence is committed.
