### sec.54 When approval takes effect
A regional interests development approval takes effect on the later of the following—
the day after the appeal period for the decision to grant the approval ends;
another day stated in the approval.
A decision notice for the decision to grant the approval must state that the decision takes effect when the appeal period for the decision ends.
In this section—
appeal period , for a decision to grant a regional interests development approval, means the period ending on the last day on which an appeal against the decision may be started under section 73 (1) .
(sec.54-ssec.1) A regional interests development approval takes effect on the later of the following— the day after the appeal period for the decision to grant the approval ends; another day stated in the approval.
(sec.54-ssec.2) A decision notice for the decision to grant the approval must state that the decision takes effect when the appeal period for the decision ends.
(sec.54-ssec.3) In this section— appeal period , for a decision to grant a regional interests development approval, means the period ending on the last day on which an appeal against the decision may be started under section 73 (1) .
- (a) the day after the appeal period for the decision to grant the approval ends;
- (b) another day stated in the approval.
