### sec.78 Interrupting voting etc.
A person must not—
enter or remain in a polling booth otherwise than as authorised under this Act; or
wilfully interrupt, obstruct or disturb any proceeding at a referendum; or
enter a voting compartment otherwise than as authorised under this Act; or
prevent a scrutineer from entering or leaving a polling place—
during voting hours for the polling place; or
while votes are being counted at the polling place; or
obstruct or wilfully mislead a senior electoral officer or member of the commission’s staff in the performance of a duty.
Maximum penalty—10 penalty units.

- (c) enter a voting compartment otherwise than as authorised under this Act; or
- (d) prevent a scrutineer from entering or leaving a polling place— (i) during voting hours for the polling place; or (ii) while votes are being counted at the polling place; or
- (i) during voting hours for the polling place; or
- (ii) while votes are being counted at the polling place; or
- (e) obstruct or wilfully mislead a senior electoral officer or member of the commission’s staff in the performance of a duty.
