### sec.16 Restrictions on unregistered vehicles A person must not bring an unregistered vehicle into, or drive or ride an unregistered vehicle in, a recreation area. Maximum penalty—20 penalty units. Subsection (1) does not apply to a person bringing an unregistered vehicle into a recreation area if the person— brings the vehicle into the area under a permit or commercial activity agreement; or has a reasonable excuse. In this section— bring , an unregistered vehicle into a recreation area, does not include drive or ride the vehicle into the area. unregistered vehicle means a vehicle that— is required to be registered under a vehicle registration Act to lawfully operate the vehicle on a road; and has not been registered under a vehicle registration Act.
