### sec.42 Causing radiation exposure from radiation practice
This section applies in relation to a radiation source for a radiation practice possessed under a possession licence.
A person, in carrying out the practice with the source, must not cause another person to receive a radiation dose higher than the radiation dose limit prescribed under a regulation.
Maximum penalty—500 penalty units.
Subsection (2) does not apply if—
the other person receives the dose while being a treated person; or
Section 41 (3) deals with this situation.
the other person receives the dose while involved in carrying out a diagnostic or therapeutic procedure involving the irradiation of a person.
