### sec.165 Chairperson and deputy chairperson of council
The Minister is to appoint an appointed member to be the chairperson, and another appointed member to be the deputy chairperson, of the council.
The chairperson or deputy chairperson holds office for the term decided by the Minister (the chairperson’s term ), unless the person’s term of office as a member ends sooner than the chairperson’s term.
A vacancy occurs in the office of chairperson or deputy chairperson if the person holding the office resigns the office by signed notice of resignation given to the Minister or ceases to be an appointed member.
However, a person resigning the office of chairperson or deputy chairperson may continue to be a member.
(sec.165-ssec.1) The Minister is to appoint an appointed member to be the chairperson, and another appointed member to be the deputy chairperson, of the council.
