### sec.58 Obtaining the criminal history of an individual
If the chief executive has the written consent of an approval applicant’s business associate or executive associate who is an individual to obtain the individual’s criminal history, the chief executive may ask the police commissioner for the following—
a written report on the individual’s criminal history;
a brief description of the circumstances of a conviction mentioned in the individual’s criminal history.
After receiving the request, the commissioner must give the report on the individual’s criminal history to the chief executive.
However, the duty imposed on the police commissioner applies only to information in the commissioner’s possession or to which the commissioner has access.

(sec.58-ssec.1) If the chief executive has the written consent of an approval applicant’s business associate or executive associate who is an individual to obtain the individual’s criminal history, the chief executive may ask the police commissioner for the following— a written report on the individual’s criminal history; a brief description of the circumstances of a conviction mentioned in the individual’s criminal history.
(sec.58-ssec.2) After receiving the request, the commissioner must give the report on the individual’s criminal history to the chief executive.

- (b) a brief description of the circumstances of a conviction mentioned in the individual’s criminal history.
