### sec.42 Conflicts of interest
If a person employed by the board, other than a member, has an interest that conflicts or may conflict with the discharge of the person’s duties, the person—
must disclose the nature of the interest and conflict to the board as soon as practicable after the relevant facts come to the person’s knowledge; and
must not take action or further action relating to a matter that is, or may be, affected by the conflict unless authorised by the board.
Maximum penalty—40 penalty units.
The board may direct a person employed by the board to resolve a conflict or possible conflict between an interest of the person and the person’s duties.
If a disclosure is made by a person to the board as mentioned in subsection (1) , the board must give notice to the commission within 14 days after the disclosure about—
the disclosure; and
any direction given by the board to the person.
