### sec.38 Chief executive to gather information about candidate
Before a person (a candidate ) may be appointed as a member or the chief executive officer, the candidate must sign a consent form that gives the candidate’s consent to the following—
the collection of personal information about the candidate by or for the chief executive;
the collection of background information by or for the chief executive;
a criminal history check.
The chief executive may, by notice given to the candidate, require the candidate to give the chief executive further information or a document relating to the candidate within a reasonable time stated in the notice.
