### sec.179 Proceedings
A proceeding that could have been started by or against a former control body before the commencement may be started by or against the new control body.
From the commencement, an existing proceeding may be continued and finished by or against the new control body.
In this section—
existing proceeding means a proceeding that—
was taken by or against one of the following before the commencement—
a former control body;
a person who was a member of a former control body, in the person’s capacity as a member; and
has not been finished before the commencement.

(sec.179-ssec.1) A proceeding that could have been started by or against a former control body before the commencement may be started by or against the new control body.
(sec.179-ssec.2) From the commencement, an existing proceeding may be continued and finished by or against the new control body.
(sec.179-ssec.3) In this section— existing proceeding means a proceeding that— was taken by or against one of the following before the commencement— a former control body; a person who was a member of a former control body, in the person’s capacity as a member; and has not been finished before the commencement.
- (a) was taken by or against one of the following before the commencement— (i) a former control body; (ii) a person who was a member of a former control body, in the person’s capacity as a member; and
- (i) a former control body;
- (ii) a person who was a member of a former control body, in the person’s capacity as a member; and
- (b) has not been finished before the commencement.
- (i) a former control body;
- (ii) a person who was a member of a former control body, in the person’s capacity as a member; and
