### sec.15A Term of appointment
A member holds office for the term stated in the member’s instrument of appointment.
The stated term must not be longer than 3 years.
A member may be reappointed.
However, a member may not be reappointed for a term that would result in the member holding office continuously for more than 9 years at a time.
For applying subsection (4) , any period for which a person has held office as a member because of an appointment under section 19 is to be disregarded.
See also section 234 in relation to other periods that must be disregarded.
Also, the terms of appointment of members must be staggered so that, to the extent practicable, the terms of 3 members end every year.
