### sec.131 Definitions for part In this part— betting exchange see section 132 . s 131 def betting exchange amd 2012 No. 42 s 75 sch document or information request see section 136 . s 131 def document or information request ins 2009 No. 41 s 96 amd 2012 No. 42 s 75 sch licensed wagering operator means— a licensed bookmaker; or a person who is the holder of an oncourse wagering permit or a race wagering licence under the Wagering Act 1998 ; or a wagering operator who holds a licence or other authority— under a law of another State or a foreign country, that authorises the operator to conduct a wagering business; or issued by a principal racing authority of another State or a foreign country, that authorises the operator to conduct a wagering business. s 131 def licensed wagering operator sub 2016 No. 12 s 359(2) principal racing authority , of another State or a foreign country, means an entity that manages a type of animal racing in the other State or foreign country. Queensland race information means information that identifies, or is capable of identifying any of the following— the name, number or time of an intended race to be held at a race meeting at a licensed venue in Queensland; the name or number of a licensed animal that has been nominated for, or that will otherwise take part in, an intended race to be held at a race meeting at a licensed venue in Queensland; the name or number of a licensed animal that has been scratched or withdrawn from an intended race to be held at a race meeting at a licensed venue in Queensland; the name or number of a rider, or trainer, of a licensed animal that has been nominated for, or that will otherwise take part in, an intended race to be held at a race meeting at a licensed venue in Queensland; the outcome of a race held at a race meeting at a licensed venue in Queensland. race information authority means a race information authority issued under section 135 (1) . s 131 def race information authority amd 2012 No. 42 s 75 sch totalisator see the Wagering Act 1998 , section 8 . wagering monitoring system means a system for monitoring the wagering activity of a licensed wagering operator. s 131 def wagering monitoring system ins 2009 No. 41 s 96 wagering operator means— a person who conducts bookmaking; or a person who conducts a betting exchange; or a person who conducts a totalisator; or a person who otherwise conducts a wagering business. s 131 prev s 131 om 2016 No. 12 s 363 pres s 131 (prev s 113A) ins 2008 No. 75 s 90 renum 2012 No. 42 s 45 amd 2016 No. 12 s 359 (1) - (a) a licensed bookmaker; or - (b) a person who is the holder of an oncourse wagering permit or a race wagering licence under the Wagering Act 1998 ; or - (c) a wagering operator who holds a licence or other authority— (i) under a law of another State or a foreign country, that authorises the operator to conduct a wagering business; or (ii) issued by a principal racing authority of another State or a foreign country, that authorises the operator to conduct a wagering business. - (i) under a law of another State or a foreign country, that authorises the operator to conduct a wagering business; or - (ii) issued by a principal racing authority of another State or a foreign country, that authorises the operator to conduct a wagering business. - (i) under a law of another State or a foreign country, that authorises the operator to conduct a wagering business; or - (ii) issued by a principal racing authority of another State or a foreign country, that authorises the operator to conduct a wagering business. - (a) the name, number or time of an intended race to be held at a race meeting at a licensed venue in Queensland; - (b) the name or number of a licensed animal that has been nominated for, or that will otherwise take part in, an intended race to be held at a race meeting at a licensed venue in Queensland; - (c) the name or number of a licensed animal that has been scratched or withdrawn from an intended race to be held at a race meeting at a licensed venue in Queensland; - (d) the name or number of a rider, or trainer, of a licensed animal that has been nominated for, or that will otherwise take part in, an intended race to be held at a race meeting at a licensed venue in Queensland; - (e) the outcome of a race held at a race meeting at a licensed venue in Queensland. - (a) a person who conducts bookmaking; or - (b) a person who conducts a betting exchange; or - (c) a person who conducts a totalisator; or - (d) a person who otherwise conducts a wagering business.
