### sec.116 Show cause notice
If a control body believes a ground exists to cancel or suspend a licensed club’s licence as mentioned in section 115 (1) , the control body must, subject to section 119 (1) (a) , give the club a notice (a show cause notice ).
The show cause notice must state the following—
the action the control body proposes taking under this part (the proposed action );
the grounds for the proposed action;
an outline of the facts and circumstances forming the basis for the grounds;
if the proposed action is to suspend the licence, the proposed suspension period;
an invitation to the club to show within a stated period (the show cause period ) why the proposed action should not be taken.
The show cause period must be a period ending at least 28 days after the day the show cause notice is given to the club.
