### sec.128 Information requirement made by authority—prescribed decisions
The authority may ask a relevant person for a prescribed decision to give the authority information it reasonably requires—
to decide whether to give a progression notice, a notice to decide or a step-in notice for the decision; or
to make an assessment and a decision about the prescribed decision under this Act; or
to undertake a prescribed process.
The relevant person must comply with a request under subsection (1) .
This section does not limit section 126 .
In this section—
relevant person , for a prescribed decision, means the applicant for the decision or another entity the authority reasonably considers has information that may help it act on the matters mentioned in subsection (1) (a) or (b) .
(sec.128-ssec.1) The authority may ask a relevant person for a prescribed decision to give the authority information it reasonably requires— to decide whether to give a progression notice, a notice to decide or a step-in notice for the decision; or to make an assessment and a decision about the prescribed decision under this Act; or to undertake a prescribed process.
(sec.128-ssec.2) The relevant person must comply with a request under subsection (1) .

(sec.128-ssec.4) In this section— relevant person , for a prescribed decision, means the applicant for the decision or another entity the authority reasonably considers has information that may help it act on the matters mentioned in subsection (1) (a) or (b) .
- (a) to decide whether to give a progression notice, a notice to decide or a step-in notice for the decision; or
- (b) to make an assessment and a decision about the prescribed decision under this Act; or
- (c) to undertake a prescribed process.
