### sec.64 Change of name does not affect legal personality, etc. The change of name under section 63 of the Authority from ‘Queensland Rail Transit Authority’ to ‘Queensland Rail’ does not— affect its legal personality or identity; or affect a right, entitlement or liability of the Authority or anyone else; or make legal proceedings by or against the Authority defective. Without limiting subsection (1) , the change of name of the Authority does not affect any right, entitlement, liability or benefit the Authority would have had or enjoyed apart from the change of name. In addition, but without limiting subsection (1) , a legal proceeding that could have been started or continued by or against the Authority under its former name may be started or continued by or against it under its new name.
