### sec.21 Casual vacancy This section applies if the office of a member, chairperson or deputy chairperson of the board becomes vacant before the end of the member’s, chairperson’s or deputy chairperson’s term of office. The responsible Ministers may appoint a person to the office for the remaining part of the term. A person appointed under subsection (2) is eligible for reappointment at the end of the term. This section is subject to sections 16 to 18 .
