### sec.19 Terms and ending of appointments This section applies to a person’s appointment to the office of member of the board or chairperson or deputy chairperson of the board. For matters not provided for under this Act, the person holds the office on the terms of appointment decided by the responsible Ministers. Except as decided by the responsible Ministers, the person is not entitled to receive any payment, any interest in property or other valuable consideration or benefit— by way of remuneration as holder of the office; or in connection with retirement from the office or other ending of the office. The appointment ends if the office of the member becomes vacant under section 20 . A person’s appointment as member of the board does not end only because the person’s appointment as chairperson or deputy chairperson of the board has ended. (sec.19-ssec.1) This section applies to a person’s appointment to the office of member of the board or chairperson or deputy chairperson of the board.
