### sec.25 Disclosure of interests
This section applies to a commissioner if—
the commissioner has a direct or indirect financial or personal interest in a matter being considered, or about to be considered, by the board as part of the exercise of the board’s functions; and
the interest could conflict with the proper performance of the commissioner’s duties in relation to the matter.
As soon as practicable after the relevant facts come to the commissioner’s knowledge, the commissioner must disclose the nature of the interest to the Minister.
Unless the Minister directs otherwise, the commissioner must not—
perform the commissioner’s duties in relation to the matter; or
take part in a decision of the board on the matter.
A failure to make a disclosure under this section does not, of itself, invalidate a decision of the board or the commissioner.
(sec.25-ssec.1) This section applies to a commissioner if— the commissioner has a direct or indirect financial or personal interest in a matter being considered, or about to be considered, by the board as part of the exercise of the board’s functions; and the interest could conflict with the proper performance of the commissioner’s duties in relation to the matter.
