sec.38Acting director

### sec.38 Acting director This section applies if— the office of the director is vacant; or the director is for any reason unable to perform the functions of the office. The council may appoint a person to act as the director— for a period of not longer than 6 months; and only if the person could be appointed as the director under section 33 (2) (a) to (c) . However, the council may extend the appointment for a further period of not longer than 6 months, with the Minister’s approval. (sec.38-ssec.1) This section applies if— the office of the director is vacant; or the director is for any reason unable to perform the functions of the office.
