### sec.14 Vacation of office A member is taken to have vacated office if the member— resigns his or her position on the council by signed notice of resignation given to the Minister; or is convicted of an indictable offence or an offence against this Act; or is absent without— the council’s permission from 3 consecutive council meetings of which due notice has been given; or the Minister’s approval under section 16 . In this section— meeting means a meeting with a quorum present. s 14 sub 2003 No. 32 s 6 amd 2007 No. 50 s 10 (sec.14-ssec.1) A member is taken to have vacated office if the member— resigns his or her position on the council by signed notice of resignation given to the Minister; or is convicted of an indictable offence or an offence against this Act; or is absent without— the council’s permission from 3 consecutive council meetings of which due notice has been given; or the Minister’s approval under section 16 . (sec.14-ssec.2) In this section— meeting means a meeting with a quorum present. - (a) resigns his or her position on the council by signed notice of resignation given to the Minister; or - (b) is convicted of an indictable offence or an offence against this Act; or - (c) is absent without— (i) the council’s permission from 3 consecutive council meetings of which due notice has been given; or (ii) the Minister’s approval under section 16 . - (i) the council’s permission from 3 consecutive council meetings of which due notice has been given; or - (ii) the Minister’s approval under section 16 . - (i) the council’s permission from 3 consecutive council meetings of which due notice has been given; or - (ii) the Minister’s approval under section 16 .
