### sec.14 Vacation of office
A member is taken to have vacated office if the member—
resigns his or her position on the council by signed notice of resignation given to the Minister; or
is convicted of an indictable offence or an offence against this Act; or
is absent without—
the council’s permission from 3 consecutive council meetings of which due notice has been given; or
the Minister’s approval under section 16 .
In this section—
meeting means a meeting with a quorum present.
